Exactly which cookies the platform uses — and why there is no consent banner.

PassTheKeys uses only the cookies it needs to work. We set no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies — by design. Because we set nothing that is not strictly necessary, no cookie-consent banner is required.
Strictly-necessary cookies
Two first-party cookies keep the platform working: a session cookie (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax) that keeps you signed in and protects your requests, and a locale cookie that remembers your language choice (FR / EN / DE) for one year. Both are strictly necessary for the platform to function and cannot be switched off.
Third-party & tracking cookies
We use none. There are no analytics, advertising, or social-media cookies on PassTheKeys. The only third-party cookie that can ever appear is set by our payment provider, Stripe — and only on the checkout page, only if and when paid validation is enabled, and only to process that payment securely. Until then, no third-party cookie is set at all.
